QHow do I install ChemDraw?

Go to the ChemDaw website and enter a valid UW-Stout email address.  Follow the on screen prompts to download and then install ChemDraw. At the end of the installation you will be prompted to put in a serial number that you should have reacevied in an email after registering with CambridgeSoft.

QWhat are the system requirements to install ChemDraw?

Windows Requirements:

Operating Systems Supported: Windows 2000, XP Pro, Vista

Browsers Supported:   Microsoft Explorer 7.x, Internet Explore 6.x, and Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and higher

Macintosh Requirements:

Operating Systems Supported:  Mac OS X 10.3.x, Mac OS X 10.4 Power PC, Mac OS X 10.4 Intel, Mac OS X 10.5 PowerPC/Intel

Browsers Supported: Safari 1.4 and higher, Firefox 1.x, and Mozilla 1.7.5 and higher.

QCan I install ChemDraw on a Macintosh computer?
A

Yes, you can install ChemDraw on a Macintosh computer by going to ChemDraw download site with a vailid UW-Stout email address.  After verification of email you will be prompted to choose installation.  Choose the Macintosh download. 

Download the installation file to your hard drive.  The file should automatically decode and decompress leaving you with a folder on your desktop containing the ChemDraw installer.  If the file does not automatically decompress the folder, you may have to double click on the file you downloaded to decompress the installer folder.  Open the decompressed folder, and the double click  on the installer icon inside of the folder and follow the on screen prompts to install ChemDraw.  Use the serial number and registration code that was emailed to you earlier after verifying email address to complete installation.

Yes, as long as you have a valid UW-Stout email account.  You can install ChemDraw by going to ChemDraw download site and entering a vailid UW-Stout email address.

NOTE: If you need assistance with installing ChemDraw on your personal computer a technician will use reasonable efforts to help you install ChemDraw.  If the technician finds that the computer is not in good working condition and ChemDraw can’t be installed it is the user’s responsibility to remedy the condition of the computer so ChemDraw can be installed.  It is not the responsibility of UW-Stout technicians to fix personally-owned computers.
